Pricing

Wedding & Custom Cakes

Each wedding and custom cake is designed especially for you, so there are no set prices. 
Basic buttercream cakes begin at $8 per serving and basic fondant cakes at $9 per serving. 
Basic cakes have minimal decoration. 
Final pricing for all cakes is dependent upon the complexity of design, flavors, servings, and delivery/setup fee.


Structured Cakes & 3D Cakes

Pricing for structured and 3D cakes is dependent upon complexity of design and amount of servings.

Ingredients

I use only the finest and freshest ingredients; buttermilk, heavy cream, sweet cream butter, gourmet Valrhona,
Callebaut chocolate, Guittard chocolate, fresh fruit and Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla.

No shortening is ever used in my butter creams, only sweet cream butter.

My prices may be higher than box stores and bakeries yet you can taste the difference!
As the saying goes...

Cheap Cake Isn’t Good, Good Cake Isn’t Cheap!
I make everything from scratch; fondant, ganache, modeling chocolate, salted caramel and
fruit compotes to flavor my cakes and buttercreams.

Wedding Consultations & Tastings

When designing your wedding cake, I take inspiration from many sources, such as lace samples from your dress,
your invitations, color palette, your flowers, venue and everyday things you love.
It is best to have these aspects of your wedding in place prior to meeting with me to design your cake.

As all my cakes are original, we will go through the entire design at a face-to-face consultation.
My charge for a consultation is $135.00 (payable in advance), to include tasting samples.
$75.00 of this fee will be applied toward your cake order.
Consultation tastings are for clients ordering 75 servings or more.
I am a home-based business so consultations are strictly by appointment.

To ensure your wedding cake receives the attention it deserves I take on a limited number of wedding
or other celebration commissions each month, so it is recommended you contact me as soon as possible.

Destination Weddings

Planning an event in the Adirondack area or Vermont?
All plans can be made quickly over the internet.
I have planned many occasions this way and it works!

Servings

Standard wedding cake serving guidelines for caterers are 1” wide x 2” deep and 4” tall.
Most of my cakes are taller than the standard industry guidelines,
usually between 5” to 6” dependent on the cake design.

Payment

At the time of booking, along with a signed contract to officially save your date,
a 50% non-refundable retainer will be due.

Final Payment

Final payment is due 3 weeks (21 days) before your event date.
If you book within the 21 day period, full payment is due at that time.

Bookings are on a first come, first paid basis.
All dates are considered open until the signed contract
& 50% non-refundable retainer have been received.

Delivery

Due to the fragility of tiered cakes, I offer a delivery and set-up service. My
charge for this service is based on mileage and travel time.

Cake Stands for Rent

Pedestal cake stands and wood cake stands are available for rent for a
nominal fee. A refundable deposit is required and will be returned once the
stand is returned in its original condition.

Pick-Up

Pick up times for cakes smaller than 3 tiers are scheduled at the time the order is placed.
Once a cake has been picked up by you or a designated party, it is considered “accepted”.
The cake is the responsibility of the customer once it leaves my cake studio.
